Above is a picture of some of our family pioneers, taken in front of the family hop kiln around the turn of the century.

Our family originally settled in the 1890's along the upper reaches of the Russian River, in the picturesque valley of Ukiah. The Ukiah Valley is quietly nestled in the coastal mountains of Mendocino County, which lies in between the famous wine country of Napa and Sonoma and the amazing redwood forests of Humboldt County. The lush valley soil, coupled with warm summer days and coastally influenced, cool evenings make it a wonderful place to grow the best and sweetest pears. In fact, some of our orchards are over 100 years old and still producing outstanding pears. The fine art of growing great pears has been passed down through the generations, and our strong commitment to top quality is quite apparent in our Eagle Peak pack. Today the fourth and fifth generations are tilling the soil and personally overseeing every facet of the farming and packing operation. Working together, Bill , Frank, Steve, Peter, Katie, Debbie and Susie Johnson provide our customers with the very finest pears.
